Sell Scrap Gold
When you sell scrap gold to Money4Gold, your items are refined to their pure form for recycling.
First, your items are received in our processing facility where they are graded. During the grading process the pieces you send in are sorted based on metal type and tested. Our trained staff uses non destructive testing techniques to verify the quality (purity) of the precious metals.
Next, each item is weighed to determine the amount of gold (quantity) contained in your items. The quantity and the quality will tell us how much actual gold or other precious metal was sent in with your G-PAK.
Your catalogued items are safeguarded in the processing facility to allow enough time for you to receive and accept your cheque. Once the transaction is complete, your items are placed into a bin with items sent in by others. From the bin it is poured into a clay-lined crucible (large melting pot) where it is melted into a liquid form.
From there, the metals pass through several processes, which in the end yield a pure gold content that is melted into gold bars to be sold at the spot market. Purchasers of the refined gold will recycle the metal into new jewellery, mobile phone or computer components or simply store the pure gold as an investment.
